What is Recommendation Strength?

Recommendation Strength separates being named as the best option with specific reasoning — "the best choice for X because of Y" — from being one entry in a generic list. It also weighs whether the endorsement is unconditional or qualified, as in "a good option if you are on a budget".

The IAB places it under Persuasion and requires providers to publish the scoring rubric, because where the line falls between an endorsement and a listing is a judgment call that varies between tools.
